‘Ghumantra’ – This word I heard from my mother during my school days whenever I used to go out to explore the jungles of Bengdubi cantonment area (West Bengal). She was always used Ghumantra as her pet dialogue to shout on me, in Maithali it means ‘roaming aimless’. After exploring so many places, I realized that it was her blessings in disguise that I turned into a photographer and a traveler. Now call me ‘Ghumantra’ hundred times…..don’t mind!
